The massive activities aim to demonstrate support for the elected president and the Bolivarian Revolution, a project that promotes Venezuelan unity, peace, and sovereignty in the face of threats from transnational right-wing forces.
On Wednesday, the Great Camp of Communities, Farmers, and Fishers was set up at the Hippodrome and Poliedro in Caracas, where 10,000 Venezuelans will gather to defend participatory democracy and strengthen new forms of popular power.
“We are farmers who work tirelessly, not only cultivating the land but also advancing the recognition of the Socialist popular power,” said Esamir Perez, a member of the Simon Bolivar’s Sword Commune.
While the camp was underway, an immense caravan of “Motorcyclists Against Fascism,” who described themselves as “street warriors,” rode through the main avenues connecting Petare to downtown Caracas.
Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez warned that the far-right opposition is conspiring with “international networks of drug traffickers, pedophiles, and murderers” to continue their attempts to harm the Bolivarian nation.
At a meeting in the Miraflores Palace, she expressed pride in the support of transport workers, a segment of the working class that helped shape President Maduro and defends the homeland against both external and internal threats.
On Thursday, Venezuelans will march from Petare to Brion Square in Caracas, where they will express their support for President Maduro and the revolutionary project initiated by Commander Hugo Chavez.
Also in Caracas, the Anti-Fascist and Anti-Imperialist Feminist Forum convened, advocating for continued efforts alongside President Maduro in the fight for social justice.
On the same day, at the La Carlota Convention Center, over 2,000 representatives from various countries gathered to inaugurate the Grand World Anti-Fascist Festival, where workers, farmers, youth, and social activists will discuss collective actions to respond to the neoliberal assault on national sovereignty.
